You may have noticed
the subscriber number for this
newsletter staying around 31,000.
That's because the
people at ListChannel are doing
an excellent job of cleaning the list for me.
http://www.scamfreezone.com/listchannel/
As fast as new subscribers
join, they delete a bunch
of dead email addresses :-)
I don't know the technicalities
of it, but they've
removed bounces, undeliverables, specific domains
where the email just goes into a black hole (anyone
with an @home.com email address) as well as doing
specific test mailings to uncover undeliverables at
yahoo.com and aol.com.
This is excellent service,
and I love it!
I now know that the
number of subscribers I display
is a true number, not a "airy fairy" number inflated
with bounces and undeliverables.
Plus, if you have a
list full of bounces, beware...
...too many bounced
emails arriving at the doorstep
of major players (AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail) may result
in ALL the emails you send to those domains being
deleted... without them telling you!
