Just because you can
send an email instantly, it
doesn't mean
you should.
When you want
to issue a stinging rebuke to a customer
who seems hell-bent on provoking an argument and
insults your integrity, stop.
Take a deep
breath.
Get up and
walk around if you have to.
Then, return
to the email and either reply politely
or delete it.
I know, it's
very, very hard. In fact, it's one of
the most difficult things I've had to learn online.
But you don't
get anywhere engaging in an email war.
So be the
bigger person and walk away.
Then spend
the time you would've spent arguing on
something productive like making more money online
or even turning the PC off and spending time with
your family or friends. :-)
