I find it very interesting
that people put so much
faith in numbers.
Yes, I am aware of
the irony of placing this InfoShock
immediately after the previous one :-)
But do numbers really
matter?
If you have 20 million
email addresses to whom you
send offers regularly, are you successful?
No. They may be freebie-seekers
not interested in ever
buying anything!
If you have a very
popular website where you show
banners, are you successful?
No. It may be a games
website where no-one ever clicks
on a banner!
On the other hand, the public at large and many
top-flight Internet marketers are usually too busy to
find out how well your business is *really* doing...so
they take the numbers as indicators of success.
If they rely on those
indicators to decide who to
include in their next profitable venture, then those
numbers *are* important!
