Absolutely
phenomenal!
Last month
I was working on a PentiumII/300 with a 56K
modem in the corner of a bedroom in a rented cottage.
Since then,
we've moved to our own house (our first
mortgage...thanks to the Internet business for the
deposit ;-).
I'm in what
used to be the original garage, but it's
now part of the house and a great-sized office. I got
DSL two days ago, and it's truly 10 times faster than
the 56K modem.
Warp Speed!
I'm still
astonished when I realise that the "waiting"
time has moved from "waiting for the page to load" to
"waiting for me to read the page".
I've become
the weakest link ;-).
Yesterday
I moved all my files over from the old
machine to my new Athlon2000 (1Gig memory!) and
everything flies!
The PC is
quicker, the DSL is amazing, and I've just
become a whole lot more productive!
I'm enjoying
doing the same amount of work in half the
time! :-)
We all went
down the beach yesterday and had a great
time. I've just come in from gardening in the sunshine
and mowing the lawn...
...what a
great business! :-)
